Important News: Donations to aptosid

Contributed by devil on Oct 28, 2010 - 06:24 AM

We are very pleased to announce the availability to donate to aptosid through SPI and ffis e.V., where we have been granted membership as an associated project. SPI, which is based in the USA, holds Debian’s trademarks, domains and handles it's donations and money transactions. ffis e.V. works closely with SPI from Germany to help with its European operations. To donate please click this link Donate!

They both collect donations and funds, not only for Debian, but also several other associated projects via checks (cheques), wire transfer, the clickandpledge.com platform and PayPal. (SPI uses checks (cheques), wire and clickandpledge.com whilst ffis e.V. uses checks (cheques), wire and PayPal platforms).

If you would like to donate to aptosid, please visit our donations page, Donate!. The process is easy and simple. ffis e.V., as a German based 'not for profit association' and very closely related to SPI, can be used by EU donors. SPI and ffis e.V. supply us with all transaction information about donations to aptosid and help us keep track of the current balances and associated payments made on our behalf.

Tax deductions: In 1999, the Internal Revenue Service (IRS) of the United States government determined that under section 501 (a) of the Internal Revenue Code SPI qualifies for 501 (c) (3) (non-profit organization) status under section 509 (a) (1) and 170 (b) (1) (A) (vi). This means that all donations made to SPI and its supported projects are tax deductible for donors in the United States, and several other countries. (Please consult with your Financial Adviser or Tax Agent).
