Dear aptosid buddies,
from now on aptosid is at twitter. Another way to spread it out.Please drop in on at http://twitter.com/aptosid
Who can take part in it ? Please register there because we'd be united there. We need followers. I'd appreciate your participation. This will increase the use of aptosid all over the world. We'll show off only aptsid kill all the bugs!

Since aptosid is proud of promoting free software, why not use identi.ca instead of twitter.

I would rather join identi.ca. It seems that if is fairly easy to be visible on twitter through identi.ca.

After registering to identi.ca, I found out that there was already a group there:
http://identi.ca/group/aptosid
I didn't find out who created the group; however the aptosid avatar (fred?) is not shown.
There is not too many members yet. Maybe it's time to populate the aptosid group.

That's great news for those using Twitter! I already wished a couple of times that I could follow major news about, then sidux, in this fashion. 
Also +1 on getting to Identica as well. Especially since both accounts can be connected and you can use them both at the same time without too much trouble (you simply connect your Twitter account to you Identica one and choose whether you wish to a) automatically send notices to Twitter, b) send local "@" replies to Twitter and/or c) subscribe to your Twitter friends automatically on Identica as well).
I started there but "left" it for twitter, as at least with my friends and peers that's where all the action is.
Seeing now that aptosid isn't registered on Identica as of yet, I got a bit scared of the remote possibility that someone might take the name before you so I quickly registered it and just let me know where to send the login data and I will do that in an instant.
If you don't decide to use Identica after all, this account doesn't have to go to waste. I'm sure something could be done for it to pull tweets from the aptosid Twitter account just for people located there and not on Twitter. |
