As Crunchbang Linux started to make some problems I decided to try Aptosid. Issues so far:
1.
bash: sux: command not found
2.
Where is blacklist.conf? I'd like to blacklist pcspkr.
Thanks
Martin

When you boot the live media you can type e.g. blacklist=pcspkr to kill it from the off. Once installed you can add a .conf file under /etc/modprobe.d/ to blacklist whatever you want.
As for sux, thanks to a security bug it became less useful (not sure of the current state of affairs) but you can install it easily enough to see how it works out for you.
On kde you can use kdesu (I think gksu on xfce). If you run it from a konsole rather then from the Alt+F2 krunner you need to use /usr/lib/kde4/libexec/kdesu rather then just kdesu which works fine from krunner.
BTW this thread will most likely be moved as it isn't really a bug report.
