          | These are patched versions that were created due to a broken upgrade or regression in sid. Chances are that in the latest debian/sid release the packages have been fixed. For more details you'll have to wait for towo to reply. |

          | AFAIK, the content of frickelplatz repo is now a part of the community/user siduction repositories. |

          | I cannot find a newer version of gimp than 2.7.4 which is in frickelplatz. Both Debian Sid and Ubuntu 12.04 (developmental) have the 2.6.11 version in their repos. There's no gimp package in Debian experimental repo. |

          | frickelplatz have a git version of september while the last commit on gimp are of january. i think that an update of a develop version it's necessary after all this time.
but mine is just an opinion...

          | Since i'm involved in siduction, i do not maintain frickelplatz anymore. |

2.7.5~git20111215-1.siduction.1
 well then try it

If you are adventurous you can try building the gimp package yourself from the gimp git sources

Heh -- OK, good find, Carnophage!

Now, who will be the brave pioneer and install it on your system?

          | i have added the experimental repo of siduction and i have installed gimp and wine. gimp and wine of this repo work correct in aptosid amd64

I had not realized that aptosid has a fork, it means that its popularity is increasing and this means that you are doing a great job.

I just have to find the file gpg for the sign of the repo.

Just note you are on your own using them as towo has said he's not supporting aptosid users using the frickelplatz packages

       Code:
 apt-get install siduction-archive-keyring

You probably should set the apt-pinning of the siduction repo(s) to something like 300 so that aptosid packages will receive priority.

Also, doing this will probably void any claim of support from aptosid, but since I have a different definition of "support" than most do, I'm not greatly worried about that.

("Support" to me means that I could smash my PC up with a sledge-hammer, shoot it with my .44 magnum, and then set off a tactical nuke next to it (if I had access to one), and then want the devs to reassemble it from all of the resulting subatomic particles and transmuted elements.

But since I fully aware that such will never happen, I take the burden of support onto myself.

We just have to be aware that all actions have consequences: whether they are 'good' or 'bad' consequences depends very much on your worldview.)

or you can get siduction-archive-keyring deb and install it manually from their repo. hasn't made any problems here... yet.
