dear Aptosid buddies ,
We released today the official community aptosid Brazil! The address of the url is at http://www.aptosid.com.br. Today we finished the sidux Brazil community at http://www.sidux.com.br .But I'm keeping it open only for archive and query. The new aptosid Brazil was an accurate work of our creator 'slam' (Chris Hildebrandt). The new color of the aptosid Brazil matches the brazilian flag. Very well done! Brilliant job! It’s a masterpiece ! I intend In time to come to launch a new wiki for the aptosid Brazil. We are expecting to have a lot of many visitors and new users for the aptosid. Beyond the well known quality for the aptosid, I hope you enjoy the new official space for the aptosid Brazil which was built and designed by the "slam" as a gift to the aptosid brazilian community. We have many users who came from many other distros and brazilian gnu linux communities.They have been astonished with aptosid and they moved to the aptosid. But no one can deny the quality of using a debian "unstable" with kernel optimized by the brilliant Stefan Lippers-Hollmann (SLH) and all the competent aptosid developers from here. Every one must take the advatage of use aptosid because it's better and better!

Definitely a great job and we must thank for the aptosid team and slam for the help. The Brazilian colors will be definitely appealing to our local people.
Besides being quick in terms of having aptosid Brasil airborne in a record time (just a few days after aptosid intĺ), having a unique name that makes sense also drives interest from the linux communities.
I bet you that if we just had a nice name, would not drive as much traffic to the distro name change post at VOL (local linux fórum - Heil Linux or in portuguese Viva o Linux). Because of our medicine like name, there is always a mention or a joke about it and therefore our name is kept at the top a great deal of time.

"aptosid looks like the greek phrase
"απ'το sid" (ap'to sid) that means "{coming) from sid"
But a motto was created:
"If you want to kill the bugs on your computer, use APTOSID, no one will defeat the bugs like that !"
